Ah June and my good ladies birthday weekend can only mean one thing and that is Goodwood Festival of speed, this time on the Saturday I have been told it is now compulsory to attend, which is handy as I never know what to find otherwise.

This year the central display was by Mazda and there were several brilliant rotary cars and their racing cars around. Proving you do need more than a day to investigate the show we found extra areas of the show in the concour d’elegance and my wife had a swoon over Charlie Boorman too who apparently she is allowed to marry if ever there is a chance. With a new MadMax film in the offing which I am really looking forward too, it was great to see the cars from the film lined up and to even touch and stand on them.

This year we treated ourselves to grandstand tickets, which made all the difference and not only gave a great viewpoint but give you time and relax and enjoy the hill racing I loved the big old Edwardian cars popping  and banging at scary speeds up the hill

Same time next year rude not too
